Sometime in the next couple of days, your guild leader will be cleaning out the forums! Threads that are no longer relevant and threads that have not been posted in for a month or more will either be deleted or archived. (There are special exceptions. Ex: forum RP rules and certain raiding threads.)  

The Shoutbox at left is now to be used for RP / IC updates only.

We will begin raiding again next week, Ulduar only.  We may add more later, such as Sartharion or Naxx, but we'll start with Ulduar and see how we do.  If it's overwhelming after the first week we may dial it back and do Naxx.  I'm no longer requiring anyone to complete that silly "test," but I encourage all potential raiders to read strategies and bring the proper consumables anyway.  If you come unprepared there is a good chance you won't be allowed back until you can demonstrate some form of understanding of the encounters.

Some of you were present on Sunday, July 12 when we witnessed Sorindo's account hack. Fortunately I think we were quick enough to contact a GM and cut off his back access that minimal damage was done.

This should act as a reminder for everyone to change your account password regularly, particularly since hacks tend to happen in clusters - someone else in the guild could be next. Some steps to take to avoid being hacked:

1) Change your account password regularly and NEVER use a previously used password again.
2) Avoid downloading suspect looking programs or WoW addons to your computer.
3) Consider using Lavasoft AdAware and Spybot Search & Destroy to check your system for bots and keyloggers regularly.
4) Consider purchasing a Blizzard Authenticator the next time they are available or, if you have an iPhone or iPod, download the Authenticator app for those devices.

There is a common superstition that killing Mr. Bigglesworth in Naxxramas affects the amount of epics that drop, the loot Kel'Thuzad drops, and there is even a lesser-mentioned myth that it causes Sapphiron to deep breath more frequently.

This is, in fact, just an old wives' tale.

Last Winter Veil, we noticed Ugru bears a striking resemblance to Great-father Winter. Are they related? No. The resemblance, though uncanny, is simply coincidence. Although Ugru bears a degree of awe for Great-father Winter. Ugru dressed up as Great-father Winter, didn't he? He has, on occasion, and still may in the future. Ugru comes across as a rather caring, wise, generous and somewhat gentle orc. Is this the image he wants to convey, or would he rather be known as scary and ruthless? Ugru can also be quite sarcastic and has a bit of a dark sense of humor, but does care for his guild-mates and will not hesitate to share his wisdom. Where is Ugru from?  He was a very small child when he left Shadowmoon Valley. His parents joined Gul'dan in learning the dark arts.

Many an orc-centric lady would easily fall head-over-heels for the distinguished warlock Ugru'kel. Has he ever been in love?  No. He's been dedicated to his study of magic throughout his life. Magic and the dominion over demons.  Has he ever had a brief flirtation or even a casual encounter?  He has been flirtatious on occasion, but cautiously so.  Ugru seems very quiet. He shows up for parties or ceremonies but isn't very social and doesn't like to shock others with his tastes and mannerisms like some orcs do. Is he more sophisticated, more considerate, or has some experience differentiated him from some of the other orcs?  He's tried to elevate himself above the sometimes barbaric behavior of his fellow orcs. Because he believes that mindless violence is not the way to prevail against enemies.  Does he have a cottage in Eversong still?  Yes, but he rarely visits it. He's been living amongst the mages in Dalaran, which means he has to live in the shadows because they don't like his kind.  Ugru is kind-of a bookworm, isn't he?  Yes. Porn. ...I'm only kidding. Tauren porn. ...I'm just kidding.  What advice would Ugru give to his guild-mates if he could gather them all together and tell them his most important thoughts?  Don't suck.  ...This interview derailed somewhere along the line, I think....  What is going to happen with Ugru in the future, or what do you hope will become of him?   He wants to explore Ulduar and find out its secrets.
