Guild Teams

  • If I choose a guild team, can I still work with or participate in the other teams?
    YES!  Choosing a team does NOT limit you to participating in that team alone.  Your own team is simply a place to be active and contribute, if no where else.  CoE certainly encourages members to participate in any and every way they like.
  • What are the guild teams?
    There are three guild teams - The Guard (PvP), The Assault (Instances and Raiding), and The Order (RP).  Members are expected to choose a team upon being admitted to the guild.  You should choose the team that interests you the most, based on your favorite things to do in the game, because this is the team you will be expected to participate in - by discussing tactics on the forums, planning team events, or participating in that team's activities in the game.  You can read more about the guild teams in the appropriate section of our policies.

Promotions

  • How do I advance in rank?
    The first step you need to take to advance in rank is fulfill the expectations of your current rank, and learn the expectations of the rank you wish to advance to.  Once you're sure you are up to the responsibility, you can apply for the next rank in the Promotion Forums.  More information about this can be found on our Guild Policies and Ranks and Promotions pages, as well as the Promotion Forums themselves.
  • Why can't I apply to be a Scion?
    There is no application to be promoted to Scion.  As stated on the membership application, you must choose an appropriate guild role to receive your first promotion.

Website Issues

  • I can only see the Public Forums. Why can't I see the Member Only forums?
    You will only see the member-only forums if you have registered with WowStead and confirmed yourself to be in the guild.  While the website roster will automatically recognize you as a member, you must confirm that you are that member by registering and using the password found in the "Guild Info" tab in the game.

    If you are registered, make sure you are signed in to the site.

    If you are signed in, check to make sure that you are signed in as a character that is registered with our site.  You can register alts from your character pane in the roster.
  • I just joined the guild and I cannot see some of the website content or participate on the site.
    Our website recognizes members and updates the roster from The Armory.  If you joined the guild very recently, it may not have had a chance to update.

    If The Armory recognizes you as a member of Children of Eternity but our Roster doesn't, you may have to wait for a WowStead update or ask one of our website administrators to do a forced update of the roster.

    If you appear on our guild roster but are still unable to use parts of our site, make sure you have registered with the password found in the "Guild Info" tab in the game.
  • Why does the right sidebar cut off the right side of the News column?
    Because it is dumb.  We try to keep our posts a certain width to prevent this from happening, but if this problem still occurs then your best option is to widen your browser window or change your resolution.  (Otherwise, just use the scrollbar at the bottom of the page to view the right side of the posts.)
